I'm afraid it may have been coyotes. I don't think it could have been "big" cats which have been sited around here, the horses would have gone nuts, the coyotes don't bother them though.

I'm familiar with cats dissappearing for days at a time, but she's never done it, she;s a neutered female. certainly some kind of violence happened, I just don't know what. the best I can hope for is she is laying low licking her wounds. the pup just checked in again with me... nothing.

I'm just gonna go cry for awhile

That's Horrible, Kris! I'm just denying that there might be something wrong and pretending that she's stuck in the garage and will be home soon!

(My Bebe was run over on Halloween night a few years back while she was out hunting. This is why Thspud is now a moderately discontented indoor cat...)

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten, KK.
Is it worth ringing the local vetinary practice and any animal shelters, just in case she has been taken in?
I do hope that she turns up again safely.

I'm at the end of a dead end dirt road. there are huge gullies (big enough I don't need horse fencing in some spots) on 2 and a half sides of my property, and that's where I heard her. part of what is so incredibly frustrating is that with this surgery, I can't go look for her. I keep calling. just in case.

KK, sorry to hear the sad news about how the kitten is missing. Hope she is ok. I think Am's suggestion is a good idea; is there anyone that could look around for you?

GoodReads is a site where you list the books you own and/or read or want to read. That is all. I am sure MANY people have Harry Potter books listed.

Why on earth does viral gastroenteritis always jump from one kid to another, although that poor kid already has an inflammation of the middle ear and the last thing she needs is another disease, argh, not fair!

And my washing machine just broke down, great timing when you have two little ones who throw up every half hour, grrrrr.

KK, I hope your kitten is ok. Our neighbor's cat was missing last winter. She was trapped in a garage and spent more than 10 days in the cold. When they found her she was quite thin but ok. I wouldn't give up hope yet. Fingers crossed!!!

Arrgh! You being an action person, I know how you feel. It had to happen just when you had that surgery!
