Yes I paid the $50 via CC, and the charge shows in the account, sent them the ID via email. Contacted them a week later. That was a week ago. Account still in "blocked" status.

Have you logged into the bpl website not overdrive?

What error do you get when log into overdrive?

I'm asking because it sounds like someone there goofed.

Once you pay the $50 the account is active. The block usually lifts automatically.

I once had them accidentally (You can search for it here add a $50 fine to my account for no reason.) I got it cleared up. I'm wondering if something like that happened.

Yes I can log in to My BPL.

When I try to sign in at Overdrive, I get this message:

Library server message - Your record is blocked (MBLOCK field = "i").

I've sent them another message.

ETA well I just used the "Sign in with overdrive" instead of sign in with library card, and I was able to sign in!

BUT I can't waitlist a book.

I would describe the series as SciFi, though many of the books take place on planets without much "advanced" technology. The series tends to bounce back and forth between stories set on space ships and those set on planets. The stories are all set in the same universe, but some are completely stand alone works and others feature the same group of characters, while still others feature various other groups of characters (it's not as confusing as it sounds).
Spoiler:
The "Star Cruise: xxx" titles are all set on the same ship so feature the same group of characters, but each features a different h/h. (well technically Marooned takes place on a planet, but the characters are later part of the crew of the Nebula Zephyr).

The h/h in Star Survivor were the secondary couple in Wreck of the Nebula Dream.

The hero in Hostage to the Stars was introduced in Mission to Mahjundar .

The heroines in Star Cruise: Stowaway and Danger in the Stars are sisters. And the heroine from Two Against the Stars is also from their planet, but I haven't read that one yet so not sure if any of the same characters appear or not.


She also writes a paranormal series set in ancient Egypt, but I have not read any of those.

I've read the whole series and highly recommend it - in fact, I might have recommended it here before.

Coincidentally, Book 3 of the series is free on Kobo.

I was able to get my BPL account opened back up with the help of the circulation department. And they made the start date today. So I am good for another year!
