Thank you. I established a connection via telnet. But what does OCP mean? Which file do i need to download?

I think OCP means One Click install Package. Check the threads in this forum.

Also, I forgot a rather important step: you'll have to fake an USBMS session before the reboot to get the requisite content scanned.

* echo "usb plug add" >> /tmp/nickel-hardware-status
* Tap Connect, wait for the USB screen
* echo "usb plug remove" >> /tmp/nickel-hardware-status
* Wait for the Import screen

I flollowe these steps;
1 put sdcard to my computer directly
2 decompsressed OCP
3 put sd card to reader.
4 enable dev mode
5 establish a telnet connection
6 send the commands you write
7 and everything is ok, koreader installed

my Glo Hd is bricked. I've tried everything, every reset... soft, hard, factory ...but the screen is still freeezed.

Hello Guys,
Glo HD's booting ends with a kernel panic. The idea is to rewrite the sdcard image, if I had one. Could anybody share the image please?

Hello everyone, nice to discover a forum that looks both informative and helpful.
My Kobo Glo HD was repaired, can charge it now but it can not be recognized by a computer (the repairman explained me that will be the case). I took out the original 4Gb micro SD card and put it on my laptop, was distracted and managed to format all 3 partitions!

So, I need the image file and some help on witch partition should I put it so it will boot. Also, I wonder now if I can use it this way, by copying my ebooks to the main partition of the SD card?

You can put book into the book partition when the card is out of the device. But, the device won't automatically pick them up. It happens when the device is disconnected from the USB. Depending on what is actually wrong, it might trigger this when you plug in to charge and disconnect.

Thank you David, I will try it right after I finish writing. Hope I will manage. My device couldn't charge or connect over USB anymore. My brother is kind of techy so he opened it up and told me that it is the connector that is detached from the board. However by trying to fix it he made it worse, the repair person told me that 2 of the 4 channels on the board were damaged and because I didn't want to pay more he fixed the USB connector and told me that it will charge but that I can not transfer data over a cable, that I need to take out the card and do it that way. And then, I managed to format all. I thought in one moment, why is Windows asking me 3 times to format a single SD card!?

What a fail. Thank you again.

Hello David,
the image file says that it is corrupted when I try to mount it (in Windows Explorer). If I open it inside of 7zip it open two files (or more like folders) 0 and 3 and two image files 1 and 2. I downloaded the file twice, same thing. Am I doing something wrong?
