Bol.com is starting pre-order (delivery at june first), so I ordered one from Wehkamp and one from Bol.com and wait which one delivers the fast.
Stupid, the Glo HD is selling for 129,99 and next to it says "do you want to see other models likewise" with a link to the normal Glo for 136,-

I just did a pre-order (a few hours before actual release date) and the package is expected to arrive in US on 22 May. I am hoping it would be earlier so I can get to ship it back to Singapore in time for my holiday, oh well.

I'm pretty sure that the May 22nd date was listed just as a safe date where they couldn't possibly be any later than that so they wouldn't have people calling before then. Even USPS Ground from Canada I don't expect to take more than a week, and that's even being very generous. But I'll post when mine arrives.

And if they both ship on the same exact day and you couldn't cancel one? I remember that happening to someone.

Just got an email from Kobo saying that the Glo HD is available.

JB Hi Fi has it for AU$179. They are also running their 'buy a $100 gift card and get up to $20 off', so you can get one for $159, which is what they want to the regular Glo. Unlike previous campaigns like this, the T&Cs don't say that you must wait a day from getting the gift card and using the 20% off voucher (but I'd check to confirm).

Of course, you can use the gift card to pay for the Glo HD.

In the Netherlands you have the legal right by law that you can always cancel/send back an article bought in an internet shop within 14 days because you can't see and feel the article like in a real shop.
At both shops you can return without a reason your article within 3 weeks.
You pay after receiving the article.
So if I don't want it,don't like it,or have a double shipment, I can return one of them.
If it's broken, I can return it, I have nothing to do with Kobo that want to take it back or replace it, that is my legal right to do.

Lol, no.. if I want two, I buy two, my girlfriend is quite clear with that, I don't drink,I don't smoke,don't drive a car, so if I want two I can just order it and have no problems here I don't interfear in what she buys,she doesn't in what I buy as long as the bills are payd.. we both work for it.

And don't forget to ask if they'll do it cheaper. I got my Glo HD for $168.

I think the official answer is June 1st but the question I have is 'who will be selling it?' Normally it's WHSmith but they seemed to be really slow off the mark with the H2O. I think Argos picked up most of the early sales from enthusiasts like MR members. I didn't realise Argos even sold Kobos before that.

I'm so-o-o envious of all the folks here who are getting early access. It feels like the UK has been relegated to the second division for this model Not that I actually need another reader, of course, but I imagine my willpower will crumble quite quickly if/when they become available.

Not for me, I absolutely hate reading on the much smaller screen. Even though my smartphone is a 5" screen, and my Sony PRS-350s have a 5" screen, the actual screen dimensions are much smaller on the smartphone because of the 5" being the diagonal measurement.
