But, IMHO, you shouldn't dismiss that as being trivial. Here are some of the specials that you get access to:
1. All Whispersync deals.
2. All Audible daily deals--that's 365 a year!
3. Promotions such as the Buy 4, Get $10 (credit) deal.
4. Credits ($10 usually, if not always) from companies like Avis and Hertz.

The ListenerLight membership is only $10 a year. You can easily save that much by taking advantage, just one time, one of the first two specials above. And, compare the price to that of the Gold(?) plan, which is $180 per year.

But, in the end, it depends upon your particular needs and buying patterns as to whether or not the L.L. plan is right for you.

I get at least the first 3 of your 4 points for free. I see no reason to pay for the light program.

I'm currently Not Enrolled at Audible (no plan whatsoever) and maintain that status most of the year. Every now and then, I get a credit offer that I take advantage of.

During my no plan status, I've always been able to get all four of the promos you listed. I don't do anything special to get them; it just happens.

I think there may have been one time where Audible restricted the B4G$10 to members only by limiting it to 4 credits. I think this was the only time I wasn't able to not take advantage, as a non-member.

Well, I've been shelling out $10 a year to Audible, for the last 6 or 7 years, that wasn't necessary.

I'm trying out the Gold plan now, but when the trial expires I'm going to refuse their kind offer to let me stay on as a L.L. member.

Yes, any offer that includes credits is members-only. I was just mentioning there was only 1 time in my memory that I couldn't participate in the B4G$10 promos as a non-member.

Right, but I was really referring to the earlier discussion of possible reasons to keep a $10-a-year plan. That was the only such benefit I could think of.
