My headphone jack still works; but then I rarely use it. I use bluetooth when I want to listen to music or audiobooks. I don't like using headphones and avoid them whenever possible.

Why can't they give us a forward button on Audibles? The Kindle Fires have them. I have resorted to using my HD6 because of this. I sometimes like to jump forward 30 seconds especially over the sex scenes which most Romance books have like 6 to 8 in them now days. It gets old fast.

You can get Blue Tooth speakers that use Batteries. My son has one. My little speaker Not Blue Tooth also uses Batteries. AAA Batteries that I buy for $6.99 for 36 at Ollies.

My phone just updated to 4.6.6.1 for a bug fix.
I wish they'd update it with 5.1.2.1. The OS for the phone is inferior to that of the tablets. |

Mine updated last night and now is acting all buggy. Can't sync everything, can't download. It's running warm for some reason.
Never had an issue till now. Sent from my XT1528 using Tapatalk |

I fixed it. The sync had gone nuts and was stuck. Had to clear the Kindle data to rebuild my entire library. The stuck sync was also causing the phone to overheat.

Headphone Jack
I don't know if the OS update fixed it or what, but my earbud jack is working again. I got used to listening to my MP3 player, and I don't trust the phone anymore, so I'll just stick with my Sansa Clip to listen to audio books.

I think that update got my battery dying too fast. I did a re-boot & it seems fine so I never changed the battery. Which I glad it might have voided the Warranty !!

Has anyone been able to put the Play Store on their phone and then been able to use a smartwatch?

I have it installed on mine, it was the only way to load some of the apps that I wanted. I do not have a smart watch, so I can't answer to that. Search Google, there are plenty of how to's.

How is this possible? Mine is working again! I was so convinced that it was a hardware problem, I didn't even try when after I first read your post. It stopped working right after I snagged the cord on something, I figured that pulled the jack loose. Today it's working!

It could be software related if it works now. You can usually tell if it's hardware by the static noise it makes when cords are moved a certain way.
