The firmware is official for the international version of M92. Booxtor "works" with Onyx. You must'nt use the firmware in the website of Onyx, it's for the chinese product, not the international.

You haven't need of the password, put the firmware on the SD cards and follow the procedure gived by Booxtor.

Hello,
I use the firmware : 1.7 (1.7.20120726).
When I load a file CBZ (images jpg zipped), the joystick is not usable, only the buttons "next" and "previous" are usable.

=> Sorry, It's not a bug. The joystick is used when you change the zoom's value : you can move the image.

Dear Booxtor, maybe add new functions to coolreader.
1. Use two versions of reading:
- You can select text and you must turn pages with physical buttons.
- You can turn pages with the stylus and can't select text.
Add icon to change version reading near the power manage icon.

2. Add CoolReader settings:
- Adjust the line spacing between paragraphs
- Adjust the indent paragraphs.

I BOUGHT M92 - WHITE FEW DAYS AGO. I UPGRADED FIRMWARE TO 1.7xx726.

I FOUND FOLLOWING PROBLEMS:

1. IN ROUTINE PDF READER, THIS NEW FIRMWARE DOESN'T HAVE TAP ZONES, THAT IS TAPPING THE RIGHT CORNER DOESN'T TURN THE NEXT PAGE, WHICH I NOTICED IN ORIGINAL FIRMWARE.

2. NEW PDF READER WITH 2 COLOUMN SUPPORT ALSO IGNORES THE TAPPING. I HAVE TO SWIPE, WHICH IS TEDIOUS.

3.IT IS OF BIG HELP, IF U HAVE AN ICON IN MAIN READING PAGE TO TOGGLE BETWEEN FULL PAGE VEIW AND COLOUM MODE. OTHERWISE TURNING PAGES WILL BE HORRIBLE.

4. SEE THE IPAD GOOD READER OR EZPDF READER. INTRODUCE TAP ZONES. THIS SHALL JUSTIFY COSTLY WACOM SCREEN. OTHERWISE M92 MAY BE OUT SOON.

Good idea.

I would even generalise it. An icon to togge between two modes of choice (say last two).

It would allow to switch between different modes & zooms & screen orientation.

Onyx is working on the porting. They are now working on the power management (important part) and customizing the android GUI. There are still some dev. time to go. But I am very optimistic
