It never fails to amaze me how some christians try to claim everything good comes from their religion, and everything bad from every other outlook. And in the name of such beliefs, terrazoids is arguing that the state should set aside the first amendment and teach his specific religion.

I think most religions have a few members who believe their way is the only right way, and is everything that is good. It isn't the religion that is bad, it's the few that take it to the extreme that make it seem bad. Christianity isn't the only one, though it gets bashed often.

Yes, there were the Crusades, and the witch hunts, but not every Christian followed along with them, just as not every Christian today feels like shooting everyone they even suspect is a Muslim. By the same token, Not every Muslim believes that Americans need to die, though a few have declared a jihad.

No! Freedom of belief and expression is not limited by majority rule. The First Amendment protects the minority from the majority. The popular view doesn't need protection.

Which I (and as so well said above) many others agree with. The issues come (whether in religion or other areas) when views start getting pushed upon others.
