Thanks. Not a huge issue. Just seems a bit odd to me that viewing the cover art is not really all that straight forward on the kindle.

Does this have anything to do with the .mobi format? It's an older format and might not take that into consideration.

Or at lest do it as flexible as .epub

No. It isn't anything to do with the file format. It is just how Amazon designed the reader to automatically jump past the cover and TOC to the first page of real text.

Would it really slow things down? A full screen refresh is a full screen refresh.

I think the biggest problem with a cover browser as an option is really that so many books, even major releases which have nice-looking covers on physical editions, just go with a completely generic images for the Kindle release. It wouldn't be as easy to tell them apart as it should be.

Interesting, the 3.0.2 preview has been out for almost two weeks but it does not appear to be being distributed. Wonder if there are issues?

I have been wondering the same thing. I am thinking that it is being updated even more
I hope I do not have issues getting the final release seeing I am running the preview.
