Mine was ordered on the 9th August and yesterday it said

Estimated Dispatch 26th August
Estimated Delivery 27th August

I had no e-mail saying it was dispatched so checked the site late last night and nothing had changed. This morning it still said the same but just a few minutes ago it changed to:

Not Yet Dispatched:
Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date. You can cancel at any time.

I didn't really expect it as early as 27th because I ordered a lot later than others but I don't see why Amazon put a estimated dispatch and delivery date on their site if the couldn't meet it.

Update:

E-mailed Amazon to ask why they kept changing the despatch/delivery date and they replied:

They said that they "can confirm that we have not yet received "Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite - Latest Generation" into our Fulfilment Centre" which is a bit strange a several people on this thread have received theirs. Has anybody else had dates changed and then changed again.

I think your estimates yesterday must have been a fluck as they are still very behind. Mine was ordered on the 30th and still hasn't moved beyond the 'We will notify you when' stage

Since nobody seems to have mentioned this, perhaps I should mention that this morning delivery on my separately ordered charger got put back to 7th Sept "as we are still awaiting stock from our suppliers".

Mines still still got estimated delivery 27th/28th but not dispatched, so I guess this late in the day I'm not going to see it till Tuesday

Was looking forward to a good long weekend reading, I am holding off reading a few books till I got the K3, might be tempted to start reading them on my phone now.

reading on the iphone is quite good. Although I have only used Stanza and ibooks, I don't have the kindle app yet

It should.

Kindle is delivered with a UK power adapter and a micro-USB cable for charging your Kindle from a computer USB port. The UK power adapter supports voltages 100V-240V.
