My wife doesn't like to be near ANY large animal. There has been absolutely no way I can get her near a horse, never mind on a horse.

We've been married 20 years and I haven't put saddle to horse in about 22 - 23 years. That was near Franconia Notch, NH.

Oh well, at least she can make meatloaf.

The part where I last rode was more like the bridge scene.

My first ride was on a burro when I was too small to get up by myself.

Cities have their advantages. But riding and shooting aren't on the top of the lists out here on the east coast.

The old cowboy movies are gone, along with their values.

took some pictures of the ponies tonight I will post them tomorrow. I've spent the last 4 hours roasting and peeling chilies. I'm tuckered.

the buckskin is Thyme, or "Pagan's Just In Thyme" is her registered name, the paint is CJ, or "His Honorable Court Jester", and the big black Percheron is Dan. just Dan

I'm not sure which one you're talking about... the paint is half Arab half Paint, the Buckskin is half Percheron, a quarter Belgian and a quarter Arab, technically she is a "Sporthorse" one of these that you do the cross country jumping on. she's only greenbroke though. I got hurt after I started her and my knee can't take any rough and tumble yet. the big black is a Percheron with a little bit of Friesian, maybe up to a quarter, he makes a fantastic warhorse, and his tail is NOT docked!

That happens to my wife with the cat on the edge of the bed, and the Shih-Tzu on the other side by her feet.
