Mine shows that it's "in process." We'll see how it pans out! Glad I scooped it out quickly this morning. I can thank the dog for whining to go out and waking me up at 6:30, I guess!

I ordered a red one and my card has been charged plus the website status shows "in process". So I'm hoping it goes through.

I just stopped by a local Borders to see what price they were charging and it's $299 although the Web site is now $199. Clerk said Borders is dropping the Sony in favor of the Kobo reader and that probably why it's on sale.

Yes, this is absolutely off topic... just skip over this if you're not interested, and my apologies.

I saw Dr. Drib mention Grados, and I just had to jump in. I got my first pair (SR 325s!) at least 15 years ago, and they're still going strong. They've been through a lot, and I've replaced ear cushions and even sent them back once after breaking a mounting gimbal; Grado repaired them at no charge - and this was after 10 or 12 years!

I just can't say enough about the quality of their headphones; I really believe you can't do any better. For what it's worth I've been playing synths and recording for nearly 40 years, Brown music degree... I've produced and listened to a LOT of music, and I love Grados.

The SR 325s are now my haul-around, banger pair; I'm now using a pair of GS-1000s and a handmade Ray Samuels Raptor headphone amp. Gawd.

Whatever you spend on Grados, Dr. Drib, they'll bring you a lifetime of pleasure. Best wishes, and enjoy! (and good luck to all on your Borders orders!)

Just to be sure, even tought the order didn't went well (payment details error, or so it said), they charged my credit card.
I'll get those money back, right? Cause I noticed that the money for the preorder of the kobo reader that they cancelled was charged too, and it's been 4 days since then.
I guess those money are just "fluctuating" between my card and their, waiting to jump back onto mine. Hope I'm not wrong.

I hope you all get your orders honored. I mean it's like having a product mis-tagged in a store. They almost always sell it to you for the price it has listed, even if it IS a mistake. I've benefited from some good "deals" that way over the years.

This person just sounds like a whiner. I'm sure it was just a pricing error, not a purposeful deception. And they did offer another $20 off the already low sale price.

Assuming you pay them their $199? Plus for overnight shipping? I'm sure you could get it pretty quickly, since they claim its in stock and usually only requires a (business) day or so of order processing time.

Most stores have them in stock, still, as well. I'm not sure I'd bother - I picked up a touch (at a similar deal from BestBuy) a couple of weeks ago. It took four days of rebooting (including several manual deletions and re-installs of the software) before getting JUST my sony books onto the reader. I only succeeded when I stopped trying to use the Sync feature --and even then, it was three tries, during which it would randomly refuse to copy some books (but report success), refuse to eject the reader and one time the reader decided it wanted to reformat itself. At least the Calibre books I installed went on without a hitch.

Compared to my Kindle (original, let alone later ones), I can see why the Sony never really took off (not to mention the store book pricing, until they finally caved and started having at least a few at competitive prices) and the Kindle sold like hotcakes. And that's before even starting on the reading experience (ok, but here it is, a several generations later reader, that isn't as friendly as the K1; but at least it has collections).

It's hard to imagine the Kobo would be much worse an experience (better on the PC interface, but possibly a bit less for reading), especially if you take the advice of those who have started with it already and skip it's software as well, as the sync feature is apparently just as bad.

Still no cancellation email, then again I paid very near the end before they shut it down. Maybe they have SO many to work through (and I bet there's got to be some personalization and at least a custom email done for each person) that its taking forever.
