For my brief stay in the hospital, they gave me a one of those "select from one from each of the categories" and "build your own sandwich" menus. The problem was, they had me so hept up on pain medication that I really shouldn't have been left alone with the paper and pencil.

Yes, ice cream is a good choice. Particularly a flavor with lots of chocolate.
![]() The Muffin Man also recommends potato-leek soup. (It's rather funny, actually-- he doesn't even eat soup. But the girls and I like it, so he makes it for us. ![]() The recipe for potato-leek soup is evidently very much like the carrot-ginger recipe. ![]() As for trebuchet travel... perhaps frozen into a block? Would it thaw out during re-entry? (Would that be a good thing?) |

I make leek and potato soup like this:
Take about 1lb (500 grammes) of leeks and potatoes and an onion. Peel and chop them. Saute the onion gently; then add the leeks and saute some more; then stir the potatoes in. Season, and add water or stock to cover the vegetables by an inch (2.5cm.). Bring to the boil, turn the heat to low and simmer for an hour. Then liquidise. If the soup is thick then stir in some milk, which adds a certain creaminess to the end product. |

Regrettably, I don't know of a source for instant carrot-ginger soup. I do remember seeing some sweet potato soup mix, though.
