Reading on a 6" reader feels a bit too much like reading on a cellphone display and is a bit bothersome. Now, if I could have both worlds (a small device that had the wider display - perhaps by folding or rolling it up) I might be really interested in that.
I don't think it would be possible to shrink this device much more without reducing the screen size. It really has a minimal bezel around the screen, any smaller and there is know where left to hold it.

Stretchable would certainly be cool.

Anyone know if Best Buy still plan to carry it in selected stores (as per the original announcement). I'd like to be able to compare the display to that of my Iliad at my local Best buy.

They are also starting to add additional retailers in the US.

Here's one that we've found so far, but iRex says there are around 5 lined up to start selling it, with more to follow.

I was just wondering if anyone had checked out if the HTML works.

Also with the SD card, is it possible to put one in larger than 2GB? What with the hassle of taking the darn back off, I was wondering it the high capacity cards would work.

They don't officially support MicroSD HC (4GB+) but apparently most well-known brands should work. Since they made it a PITA by putting the card slot underneath the batteries, I don't get why they couldn't have just used the full sized SDHC cards instead.

I agree, why not just use the larger one? Oh well.

Alright, the 2 GB how many ebooks would that hold? Just novels, nothing else.

And sorry for the silly question, but what are the best known brands? I've really had little to nothing to do with the micro SD cards so I don't know too much about them.

Looking in my Calibre library I see that my typical SF novel, including cover image, is around 500 KB. Fellowship of the Ring is nearly 1 MB. So a 2 GB SD card could hold between two and four thousand ebooks. YMMV, depending the novels.

Wow, so a 4 GB should do just fine then. I'm a big reader but I don't think I could buy that many books.

I'm still looking to find out how it does with HTML ebooks.

Thanks

Still two questions.

The HTML question of course.

Also what is the best (meaning most reliable) micro SD card brands?

Thanks.
