What I would love to have - but don't dare to wish I can get:

The first three books in A. S. Byatt's Frederica Quartet:
- The virgin in the garden
- Still life
- Babel tower

Jeanne Larsen's:
- Silk Road
- Bronze Mirror
- Manchu Palaces

As usual I clicked that link at Amazon about requesting these books be made available in e-book. I've never seen any evidence that that accomplishes anything.

Manchild in the Promised Land by Claude Brown

The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin

I publish a few books. Some were/are only available in paperback, not in ebook. I occasionally clicked the button on my books. I never received any email or other info from Amazon, and it's not hard to find me on the web.

It might just do something with books from larger publishers, but I have a suspicion that it's just a pressure relief mechanism, and doesn't actually connect up to anything.

I'd like to see the Mary Renault books, and The Kraken Wakes and The Chrysalids by John Wyndham

Think there might have been some Wyndham books recently, actually, so you might be good there.

Most frustrating is when I see an interesting book on Books on Board only to find out I can't buy it.
I don't know how the restrictions work in your country, but I found this site where I've gotten alot of .lit format ebooks. I never tried the King's but there is about a page full of them.

Thanks, Blue. I've got The Day of the Triffids and The Chrysalids, but the publishers said that the estate had not given permission for the others.

Whats odd about this is back before 2004 I bought the Jerry Ahern ebooks from Peanut Press and they have always appeared in my ereader online bookshelf. I just went online to check and every book I bought before 2004 is now gone. Clearly something unfortunate is going on over at ereader!
