Isn't it weird, though, that we're both getting our new 600's on the same day?!?!?

And, if I have figured the time difference correctly, about the same time as the Fedex guy usually delivers things around lunchtime (12:00 noon) which I think is around 6:00 Paris time.

It's here!! It arrived 45 minutes ago and as soon as I got it out of the box, we lost electrical power to the neighborhood!

I could understand it if we were having bad weather, but it's only a little overcast! At least the power is finally back on and I can plug my new reader in as per instructions! Now I just have to wait for 5 minutes!

One weird thing to note, the back cover has almost a leatherlike feel to it.

It's to give it a better grip when holding it.

mine is here too !!! actually i got it about 2 hours ago but we had a drink and my friend told me about his trip and... well... we may have played with it a little bit right there in the café.

it's BEAUTIFUL !!! i love the red colour, it's soooo pretty ! and even though i saw one already thanks to hadrien, i still noticed it's a bit smaller than my 700, seems maybe thinner too (but maybe that's because i've never held the 700 without a cover...), the dictionary is SO great ! and the notes are brilliant too (all the sample books have scribbles all over them because my friend was playing with that

) and i LOVE it !!!

now it's charging so i have to wait a while to go back to it, i'm going to take this time to get all my books together to put on it !

My son and I were comparing my 700 and 600 side by side and there is a significant improvement in the print clarity!! Yeah! It's really amazing how much better (darker) the text is! It was definitely worth spending the money.

By the way, my husband happened to be home for lunch with the Fedex truck arrived, so he knows all about my new reader. He tried to give me a hard time about it, but couldn't keep a straight face. He's of the opinion that money spent on technology is money well spent. Marrying a fellow geek was one of the best decisions I ever made!
