Couldn't the Repairman Jack series by F. Paul Wilson also be considered Urban fantasy as well? The hero is human but definitely does battle with kind of supernatural entities, although they aren't the usual lineup of vampires, werewolves, demons, etc.

I just finished the first three books in the Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane and really enjoyed them (starts with Unholy Ghosts and gets better in the next two books). The first one is discounted at Amazon and the others are reasonably priced.
