I'm English and I had trouble with that one

Although, saying that, I have a peculiarly mid-atlantic vocabulary and seem to think in American English a lot of the time -- this could be due to the intimate ties my town had with the locally stationed GI's during the Second World War or cultural influence from Cinema/Music/Books.

Also I once (in a panic and after watching a US TV cop show) advised someone in a big shouty voice - "Call 911"
