Author's gender: are you biased? - Page 5

The only time I even notice the author's gender is when they have very strong opinions about genders, like I read a book (drawing a blank on the title/author) where males were portrayed as ignorant, power hungry, sex addicts. I found the entire thing a bit over the top.

i read everything includig the washing instructions on my shirt, can't tell if it was written by a male or female, maybe a squirrel

I don't really notice the author's name unless I am reading something from the literary cannon or the author is really famous, so I don't know the ratio and I don't pay it any mind.

I asked because I think it is a pretty awesome female as Heroine sci-fi series. If you only read the one where she meets her "cat", you need to revisit the series.
