Roundabouts are extremely common in Europe. I think that our roads may be a lot shorter than those in the USA. We wouldn't dream of having a pedestrian crossing on a roundabout: that would be asking for trouble. In general, horses take priority over vehicles here.

No we put the damn things immediately on each exit road......sometimes with, sometimes without, traffic lights......

I can attest that an early model Treo, if dropped into the pool along with an earlier model pshrynk, will never work again.

Its an lg env2, and when I opened it........more water came out. To make things worse, there were some peppermints in my purse, and the water had melted them and everything was sticky! Wiped everything off, and figured it was a lost cause........

Luckily, we had insurance on it, but I got busy, and forgot about it for a couple of days. I had taken the battery out and laid it on the table in two pieces........

Yesterday, my husband calls me at school, (I was using his old ugly one) and the readout says "wifes phone"

He had put the battery back in, plugged it in and let it charge, and now it works like new!

Had I panicked and sent away for a replacement right away, I would have never known that just letting it dry completely would do the trick, and I would have been out $50......(deductible)

amazing what kind of abuse these things can take.....
Let me tell you a story...

I was carrying around a bottle of water, and didn't realize the lid wasn't on right.

Long story short, I open my bag, and notice the bottle is about completely empty. I pick it out of the bag (luckily the bag has water tight compartments as it's my laptop bag) and notice my phone was at the bottom of a pool of water. ARRRRGGGGG....

Mine is still dead though... Though, I might try it again....

Even better when you're going across it in a taxi with a driver who either knows the way in his sleep, and seems to be proving this fact; or has never done that roundabout before...

We had a perfectly good roundabout near where I live (with the obligatory pedestrian crossing just before you got to it/just after you left it) which the pwoers that then were decided should be replaced by traffic lights to reduce the number of accidents. Up until then I had only seen the results of an accident near a bus stop (where the powers that were and are thought it would be better to put a sign in the middle of the road saying it's dangerous to cross there rather than put a crossing where a lot more people would actually use it...). Since the lights went in, traffic queues have got worse, and there's been more accidents...

I can confirm that HP servers will survive having a lot of water from an aircon unit dumped over them whilst they are powered on, so long as you leave them long enough to dry out. I can also confirm that HP first line support think water + electricity mix without any side effects...
