Green, but it's hard to see. If you mix brown and green I only see the brown. I was making fun of my coworker the other day for wearing a brown shirt and brown pants, and he told me his shirt was green

Hee hee -- my dad had that same colorblindness. We had a running joke about "what color is *this* that I'm wearing?". And traffic lights.

He invented a color "Rorasch". Only he knew what color it was, and he couldn't describe it! And "Kreenchie" too.

Maybe you could train yourself to see the green better? Like getting a cat and strapping (Hey, we found a use for one!) the laser pointer to its head and you have to follow it around...

Cats with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

I did know someone once who claimed to be able to see some UV, but not colors at the red end of the spectrum. I always thought that was very interesting. Not to be able to see some colors, I can understand, but how would one end up being able to see off the end of the spectrum? Something funny about the shape of the cones in his eyes, I suppose.

Very odd. Of course colorblindness in females is pretty unusual. The Military didn't even used to test for it.

They didn't catch it until I was a teenager. It's pretty funny, I had seen colorblind tests when I was a kid (in a book) and I though you weren't supposed to see all of the colors. It runs in my family though.

mjh, in other news, I'm trying to decide if I want to go to this auction tomorrow. They have some good stuff, including a set of four chairs that I need for my table in my house (which, of course, I don't have). But I know my mom is going to get mad at me (for several assorted reasons). I didn't go to a book auction on Thursday (gasp!) and I haven't been to one in months. But I really like this auction house!

ARGH!

There's a joke color test image out there that says "F*** the color blind" on it. I showed it to my best friend, who is only mildly red-green colorblind, but apparently he was color blind enough where he couldn't read it. We both thought it was pretty funny once I explained it, because he'd initially thought that the joke was that it was supposed to make people with normal color vision think they were color blind.

Argh, I've been having withdrawal symptoms from the markets all fall/winter. And it has been even longer for the auctions...

You actually -are- planning to get the house one day right? At some point I think you are obligated to get it, or at least a couple storage units.

I did spend the other night searching Christies back catalog for completed book auctions. They've had some pretty lots..

Yeah, we're playing the waiting game right now. It's a long story.

Ooh Christie's....

Well now that is just mean I've seen the ones where a colorblind person sees one number and normal people see another number. Those are evil too.
