I always wondered about The Jam. At first they seemed a lot like the Who only a bit rougher, then they moved to a Kinks cover band, and finally they came into their own. A Town Called Malice was (IMHO) one of their finest pieces.

My first love? I don't think we had a song...

But the music of my second love is A horse with no name by America. We both loved that song, but had no idea what it was called or by who it was sung. Until, one evening, we were at his parent's house and we were playing Trivial Pursuit. Then, by all coincidences, he got asked the question: Who sang about a horse in a desert? We looked at each other and laughed. Since then we know the name of the song and the group. And it has been our song ever since.

All these 80's songs!

Was "The Fantastiks" before your time? .... Try to remember...

A kind of September
When love was an ember
About to billow

Yeah, it took me a long time to get up the nerve to ask her to the Senior Prom...

That was mid-60's, for anyone who never heard of it.
We spent many evenings listening to that soundtrack.

I do love the Lounge - I spend way too much time lurking here!

The movie of my first (and only) love was Arachnophobia. 'S not relevant here, but I just felt like posting it. Perhaps I should start 'nother thread, yeah?

You most certainly do spend way too much lurking here. Stop lurking, and come out of the darkness into the light (or vice versa, I'm never sure which it is it. Light or dark, is def' more funner!(*))

Cheers,
Marc
(* If only for the delightful sound of grammar-nazi teeth-grinding when I post )
