Sure, that was an awesome addition too and I use it all the time, but in this case I often add some extra stuff to the query that I don't want inverted, like author:#=1, #readdates:true...

I added the ability to export and import stored templates to Preferences / Template functions. Exporting produces a JSON txt file. A sample, item_has_links, is attached.

The change is in calibre source.
