My Overdrive library has a lot of Open Road books. If that's the main offering of Kobo Plus then I doubt I'll bother with it.

I looked at Freading a while back but it is not supported by my local libraries so not much use to me.

ORM is not the main offering of Kobo Plus. It's the publisher for which I noticed several books that I wanted to read that were available on Kobo Plus. There are other publishers as well as the indies that are available.

Not to mention that it is not a life-time commitment, if I stop finding value in it, I simply cancel.

So far, it seems to be working well enough for me to actually pay for it after my first free month.

I actually kinda like it; I wasn't sure I would. My main problem is time; I have a lot of stuff on my "to read" list (especially after I bought all of Jim Butcher's catalogue on a recent Kobo sale.) I think the price point is fine, and if I had the time to be sure I'd read two books a month off of it without getting distracted by other books on my Kobo, I'd keep it.

I've cancelled my subscription, but I'll be tempted to resubscribe in the future I'm sure.
