Because you change to Chinese version to upgrade and then change to English version?

I got to play with a Likebook Mars recently, it's similar in that it's also running an OS based on Android 6. OneNote would not work very well there if you wanted to use for drawing or handwriting recognition, with a stylus. And I've seen a couple online reviews of Onyx products, as well as Amazon user reviews, that confirmed that being the case of Onyx products too. However, Onenote would work just fine on the Likebook if using it to either "share" data to it from other apps (e.g., browser) where you'd select text, or to enter content directly by pasting or via the screen keyboard.

Just curious if Nova Pro can handle that more basic Onenote usage scenario as Likebook would. Would be good to find out, because a lot of folks are getting these at least partly for note-taking, and a growing number of mobile users that own Android devices are using OneNote as their note-taking platform. If you could use OneNote for at least basic input as above, that would be a win for Android users who'd like to get a Nova Pro.

ETA: Another app question. Have folks been able to get the android Kindle and Google Play Books apps to run without issues on the Nova devices? Both ran pretty well on Likebook I tested, although both on that device appeared to be versions tweaked by Boyue to optimize for their device. I've heard a few mixed reports around using Kindle app on Onyx, haven't heard much about Google Books, so interested to hear the latest feedback on both apps for reading.
Have used the Boox Note for more than one year, I have excellent experience in using the preinstalled Note but never used the OneNote. The Kindle had problems with page turn but it has been fixed with the firmware update. Have not used the Google Play Books either.

Yes, it is possible to adjust the contrast on specific apps. In the apps area, just long press on the app you're interested in adjusting, and then select "Optimize". You can then adjust the contrast for that app as well as adjust it in a number of other ways.

Do you mean the reading position and bookmarks within the Neoreader?

Can you comment on the new sidenote function? I read that it is not associated with documents instead of pages.

Yes, side notes stick to specific pages. There is an icon that shows up when you are on a page that has a note attached. Or you can view all the notes for a book (or highlights or annotations) in the TOC window.

EDIT:
I take it back. Was sure I had tested this on the new firmware, but I guess not. The side notes are not linked to pages at all. You write a note and it just stays there as you move from page to page. Close side notes, go to a different part of the book, open side notes and your last note is still there. Sorry for the confusion.

That is a great question and I'm interested to hear the response as well from nova owners. Are the Nova Pro's ebook reader notes and reading positions saved and synced in the cloud, and is there a way to access them (say, an Android app you could run on your phone) on other devices? Or is the only way to get cross-device sync to use the proven apps that will do that, for example Kindle for books, and Onenote or Evernote for note-taking?

Received the cover today. Disappointed, particularly that the front cover isn't held back by the magnets when it's folded back. Not a pleasant feel to the back and seems overpriced. Will be interested if any different ones are available but not the kind that hold the reader in with tape or elastic.

This looks like the same thing but they may be using stock photos. It comes from China, I guess, since it takes so long.

I think this is actually the same official boox case with a poor description by a third party seller. Perhaps Walmeck manufactures the boox cases for them?

I too am very interested in a different case for my Nova Pro. I'd really like one that has a built in stand as I intend to use a bluetooth keyboard with mine. The ones with adhesive are just not at all appealing. I suspect Boox is not a big enough brand here in the US to merit cases being made and marketed specifically for them. I wonder if some of the generic cases sold at the big box stores that are designed for 7-8' tablets might work? I'm going to take my Nova Pro to Best Buy when it arrives and look at the fellowes cases and a few others they sell. I'll update with what I find out.

A thought just occurred.. Has anyone tried a case for the Kobo Aura One? It's also a 7.8 inch device and many of the folio style cases would not obstruct the buttons.

None of the 7.8" covers I have (Likebook, Inkbook, Aura1) would work because the port holes are in the wrong place. Don't know about size since I don't have my Nova Pro yet.
