The eBook versions of this book are odd. The ePub and Kindle versions have different errors. a word is missing in the ePub that's in the Kindle and the title for chapter 6 is misspelled in the Kindle version and the ePub it's correct.

I would guess that (because of time constraints) that the two different ebooks were produced by two different teams. Weird, but that seems like the only explanation.

The author admits he didn't have time to verify his hear-say but published anyhow, so you're probably right about the time constraints.

I've now finished the book, and it's fascinating. Frankly, it's the stories of infighting and factions in the West Wing, especially about "Jarvanka," that were most revealing--the rest, well, if you've been paying attention, you've heard it already and this book just reinforces it all. I enjoyed it--if "enjoyed" is the right word for the tragicomedy we are now living through.

I just watched Michael Wolff on Youtube being asked by Stephen Colbert if he was surprised at the excitement and huge sales of this book and his answer was that he was very surprised because there wasn't anything really new in it. It was all stuff that's been reported for a while.

Just keep in mind that the author has admitted that much of it is simply gossip and likely not true. He made no effort to verify most of the stories. The author is well known for that style of writing. If you look at his history, he's basically a tabloid writer.

I would say it's true especially given all the news we've had and how Trump behaves in public and on Twitter.

It's a tabloid presidency. Most of the material, as noted, has already been out there in the daily news stories, the speeches, and the tweets. Wolff's interpretation of them is the interpretation that most people who are paying attention already subscribe to. What's new, or new-ish, is the insider material attributed to Bannon, who is openly the source, and that's fascinating stuff, because even if he's lying, it's indicative of dysfunction and infighting.

This book isn't some minute analysis of careful policy and decision making; it's a chronicle of a chaotic year. Future historians will give greater context to this time in our history, but for now, this is an intriguing book.
