Ah .... the soil is very hard packed, but I don't think it's clay. The downside is that it is very rocky and we are right on top of large amounts of granite and marble. I don't know how much top soil there is ... enough so the trees can grow at least. I think the hand pick should be able to do the job.

I'm always in the "wrong" thread. And, even if it's the right thread, just give me a bit of time in it and I'll turn it into the wrong thread.

When it comes to legal analysis, I'm a straight line thinker ... but get me in a conversation, and I'll wander all over the place. I like to blame it on the fact that pretty much everything and everyone (except for Paris Hilton, Linsey Lohan, Brittany Spears, and anyone in the George W. Bush family) interests me.

All threads are the right thread - it's the titles that are wrong...

And what, may one enquire, have any of those done to upset you? ()

Heh .... nothing to upset me. They just bore me to tears. I have zero ... as in goose egg .... interest in them. If they all disappeared from the map tomorrow, I wouldn't think twice about it.

I don't: vote for any of them, buy their records, watch their sex tapes, go to their movies, read their books, read articles about them, gossip with people about what stupid and inane things they have done now, think they are attractive, or admire them.

They are essentially parasitic vermin that feed off the energy of the otherwise productive people of the world.

Other than that .... why I'm sure they're just wonderful people.

From my perspective, GWB is nothing but a puppet with Cheney's hand up his behind. So, it really wouldn't be all that much of a change.

I used to be so proud of being a Republican.

Well, it's just turned midnight in the UK. So it's Friday again.

My question is, Is there any significance in the date, 08.08.08?
If so, what is it?

Used to be no doubt ... now, I tell people I'm a Democrat ... and I'll probably vote that way from now on.

It's the only repeat of digits since 07.07.07 and will be the only one until 09.09.09.

Does that help??

Yes there is. You obviously didn't upgrade your computer during Y2K.

Is that 08.08.08 (dd.mm.yy - yay!),
or 08.08.08 (mm.dd.yy - nay!) ?

It's considered a "lucky" combination of lucky number 8 amongst some Chinese folk?

It's a good day to go to a buffet dinner so that tomorrow you can say "I went out to dinner last night and 8 and 8 and 8". If tomorrow someone asks if it was a German buffet, you can respond with "9" (unless it was, in which case you'll probably say "Yes, actually, it was. How did you know?").

Cheers,
Marc
