If I choose to carry my reader in my pocket, then I shall do so, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

I've been using a Glo, and now a Glo HD. I brought a gave away an Aura HD and H2O. The screen size doesn't matter (to me).

The 6" devices sell extremely well; most people want six inch readers (I have no data to back this up, but since "everyone" seems to know what "everyone" else wants... .)

Why isn't it? I put my Voyage in my inside jacket pocket all the time. As safe as putting it in a bag.

The reason i like my Voyage much better than my PW1 is because it is lighter and easier to hold. Also the adaptive light works good and I really like the buttons much better then using the screen to turn page in my PW1.

Particularly given the fact, as most high-end Smartphones and tablets do, the Voyage has a "Gorilla Glass" outer screen (compared to the plastic outer screen of the PW), which makes it extremely strong and rigid. Unlike the PW, I've never seen any reports of a fractured screen substrate on a Voyage.

I agree here. If I was in the market for a different size, I would look for a smaller (5") eReader, not a larger one.

See, what I can't understand is why they can't put the nice, comfortable buttons, just like were used on the K4NTb, on the Paperwhite? The bezel is wide enough, they wouldn't be in the way, and people that wanted the touch screen could still use it. Shoot, put an on/off switch in the firmware for the buttons. And no, using the touch screen is not really an option. My thumb joint hurts when I have to move it so far to tap/swipe.
Unless they changed the firmware so that you could tap on the first inch or so on BOTH sides to page forward, and go toward the center to page back. I like to hold my reader in my left hand and reaching over the Back area to touch to turn is too far for my poor thumb. That might work, and seems like it would make sense for easier use in both hands. Hmmm.
I don't know, I still just want the little buttons back.

Have you tried the haptic sensors of the Voyage? I think personally they're an awful lot better than physical buttons, because they rely on pressure changes rather than simply pressure, as a physical button does. On my last Kindle which had physical page turn buttons (the K3) I couldn't keep my finger on the page turn button, because I was constantly turning the page inadvertently. On the Voyage, I can hold it as lightly or as firmly as I wish, and then press a bit harder on the bezel to turn the page. I know that not everyone likes it, but I think it's great!

Unfortunately the price point just really puts it out of my reach at this point. Maybe they will drop the price for the Christmas season and I will be able to afford it.
I still have 4 of the K4NTb that I use, so I'm ok on readers. I use the m-edge cover and lights. I'm sure they will last a few more years, I just worry about everything going touch screen. What will I do when my readers do die? A little bit of panic starts creeping in.....

All right, we'll try again.

Amazon did not update the DX because it wasn't popular enough.
Amazon has a different measurement of success than Kobo.
Amazon correctly deduced that not enough people were interested in the DX for its larger size to make it financially worth it for them to pursue a large-screen device.

Amazon is different than other companies (except Apple as they have the same mentality). Amazon has a "We are not going to support the older hardware even if we can" mentality. Hecki, Even Sony was able to ad some version RMDSK to the 500 in order to get ePub support. The DX could have had firmware updates to add new features and maybe it would have sold better, but once new features came out and the DX didn't get them, it wasn't worth buying.

I wonder if the new PW3 is using the same screen as the Voyage and if so does it have the same colour issue? Also Amazon don't usually update decides in June so I wonder if they've released the PW3 early because of Kobo?

I just won't to know if they have an updated Voyage with a perfect screen (like PW2 was against PW1) as that is what I am looking for.
