To bring my original thread question to a close: No the h2o is not yellow.. I just unboxed and fired up my new h2o and it is absolutely beautiful.

I have it sitting right next to my Aura hd and the difference in screen color is obvious.. the h2o has the bright, cool color I prefer.

Love it, thrilled with this device!
