I wouldn't want to carry one all day, but on a walk or to go somewhere (like out to eat, casual) they could be really convenient. I walk daily and have to rely on pockets because I'm not carrying a fanny pack to walk. Mostly I just stuff my pockets with anything I need.

They stay put, because they are elastic. No bounce, no scatching, the Banjees have a zipper to securely hold keys and credit cards, and they disappear underneath sleeves in colder weather. Back in the day, I would carry my Blackberry in it as well without any issues, however, even the Nexus 4 was too large to comfortable fit a small wrist with it, since the N4 is wider than my wrist.

If I don't want to bring my purse, I use a crossbody wallet from Vera Bradley, which has plenty of room for money, credit cards, smartphone, and keys. I like it because it's hands-free and I can just grab it out of my handbag and have the essentials with me.

Wow, those are really cool! And they ship to France too. Ack! I don't need another bag, I already have two overflowing drawers. Bags are my weak points. I buy clothes mostly when I have no other choice, but bags...

I changed the link to the VB crossbody above.

eBags also sells this style, as does Amazon.

I added a side pocket on my brother's T-shirts for holding his phone. Cut up a couple of T-shirts and cut out pockets after making sure the first one worked well. The first one took about 1/2 hour. The rest about 5-10 min. each depending on how many cat interruptions I had. Just make sure it's deep enough that the phone won't fall out if you bend over to change a tire. And yes... he had to do something for me in exchange.

I always put my SS Galaxy Note 3 in my khaki pants' front pocket. Sometimes I even put my PW2 in there, too.

In my opinion, soon we'll have to adapt to our devices ...Do you remember nokia 3310? There were not all these problems, one could even play baseball with the phone as a ball ... Well of course there was no internet, no gps etc ... but I think it's to our mobile to adapt to us, not the opposite.

Dunno if anyone already posted this link; if so, my apologies. Saw it in a Facebook post by Boingo:

Can't squeeze that new iPhone 6 Plus in your pocket? Fashion brands are re-thinking pocket size design to accommodate the latest gadgets.

Has anybody tried one of those with an iPhone 6? They look great but there is very little information on the site, it doesn't even say what material they are made of. There is no photo of someone wearing them, or with a phone in them, so it's really hard to get an idea of the size. eBags.com has a little more information but it's still frustrating when it will cost me 15 or 20 euros to get them shipped to France.

For that price, find a seamstress and have one made. They're small items and the only even marginally difficult part of it is that the band is probably elastic material which can be a pain to sew and possibly the zipper. Design it yourself! There's a lady here in the US who designs, makes and sells padded (quilted) kindle cases. For the price of those crossover thingies, you can probably find someone who will make you one.

P.S. Do not try to hire me. My sewing skills are so questionable, the machines have begun protesting!

Now that you mention it, I'm sure I can find some on Etsy. Though I'd have the same problem of buying without seeing and touching them. But I'll have a look, if only "for the pleasure of the eyes" as they say in Moroccan shops.

I use the VB all-in-one-crossbody with a Moto E; the official dimensions for that phone are:
  • Height: 124.8mm
  • Width: 64.8mm
  • Depth: 12.3mm

That fits perfectly. Anything more than fractionally taller isn't going to fit.

The material is a quilted fabric--feels like cotton or a cotton blend; I don't know for sure. But sturdy and nice.
