I received a new one and it works flawlessly. I noticed this one only has 3,16GB left of place. Is that normal?

Otherwise I am really happy of it for the replacement

I can't remember the exact amount that normally would be available, but that would probably be about normal. The firmware that runs the device takes up some of the overall memory available on the device the same way that Windows on a laptop takes up part of your hard drive.

I have a picture but it is turned 90 degrees. But basically if you turn on the h20 and put full brightness and then turn it off you can see it clearly against a black background like in this picture.

I have this on my replacement as well does anyone have this problem as well?

Search for "eink" and "ghosting" -- the reason why every so often, you see the flash as the entire screen is written white/black/white.

I am not talking about ghosting cause that is clearly not ghosting. I am talking about the white dot there which I can clearly see when frontlight is on.

EDIT: I have also noticed if I plug it into my pc it does not go in standby but the front light keeps glowing.

I am talking about the white dot if I need to clarify. This is the first replacement as such am I wondering if I such return or keep it? as my first one also had this lightning leak.

I do see something like your dot at the bottom where the screen meets the bezel. But only if I have it at an angle I would never read at. But I it for all the LED lights.

Yea I don't notice it at all when I'm reading but it seems like the one I received now has worse shadowing issues. For example the bottom half is shadowed wherever the top one is not. And it also seems like text is shadowed around it. Could you take a photograph and show me how your one looks with frontlight and no lights around?

My H2O is my favourite eink device of the 9 (mainly Sonys and Kobos) I've owned. However I've never owned a Kindle so I don't know whether there would be lots of Amazon-only features you might miss. Have you read this recent post? It might help you make up your mind.

I love it, and never leave home without it! It's quite literally been flawless for me, incredibly reliable. My only 2 wishes are that it retained the button for turning on/off the light, and that it came in the choice of white or black, like the Aura HD.
