I have placed 40 orders in the last 6 months and only one got here in 3 days It was this way in Tennessee too after Christmas when they intro the new Prime levels. I always order in stock but it 4 days instead of 2 always. I buy Cottonelle and litter every 3 weeks and Nexium once a month. Others are things that broke and needed replacing. I give them enough business that is for sure!

I always order around 3AM or 4AM because that's when Gift cards are posted.

As you can see this is what Prime has become in Eastern side of the USA. I only complain once when FedEx lied about when they deliver the litter two months ago and then finally left it open and in pile in my apartment building breezeway. Since then they have not used them but UPS or UPS Surepost.

Now isn't that interesting. I'm in Charlotte, you are in Raleigh, so not that far apart really. (3 hours, 150 miles approx.) My deliveries are very seldom over 2 days, I've even had a couple 1 day deliveries lately. Also, mine are UPS or LaserShip, never FedEx. I wonder why the huge difference??
You could always have your stuff delivered to my house and drive down to pick it up. It would be quicker for you!!

I've been having problems with my subscribe and save deliveries. I contacted Amazon to get the tracking number because it was by Sure Post and the Post Office needed their tracking number. From what I could see of the tracking info the Post Office never received the package. It was supposed to be delivered on July 2nd and the post office said they had left a notice about a package on both the 2nd and the 3rd, but they didn't. Amazon offered to have it sent again but I was going out of town. They gave me a $5 credit and told me to contact them again if I couldn't work it out with the post office. The post office made the delivery person come out again to deliver it on July 3rd about 4:00 - I guess they saw I had my mail stopped so they couldn't just make me wait until July 5.

My hubby just found this months delivery out on the sidewalk - it was left yesterday morning. We had torrential rains yesterday and the box and everything in it was soaked. After a chat with Amazon, they created another order and will send it asap. If UPS had delivered, it would have been put in a plastic bag and left by the front door where there is an overhang that could have protected it some.

Even though Amazon is responsible for the delivery, this seems like more of a problem with the USPS than Amazon. Amazon is taking care of things in the end for me, but I wonder how long they will keep using USPS in some areas.

USPS is fine here. We have a Box with a key they leave tenants packages in. They have only once deliver them to the door. UPS is okay. I think UPS guy is slowly warming up to me. The last delivery he told me to be careful it's heavy. I told him it was a cat litter and he said "What no dogs?" I told him no just two cats anxious for their litter from Amazon. That is the most he has ever spoken to me. My old UPS guy in Tennessee we talked all the time. He was awesome!

FedEx is the one I do not like. Never the same people and I've yet to get a package in good shape. The box always looks like an elephant sat on it.

I have to credit to where it due. This week I have gotten two packages on time both were UPS! Yay UPS! Also my UPS guy is warming up to me. We had another conversation this time about how hot it is here today in Raleigh.

Hubby thinks I am being funny but if you have a good relationship with your UPS driver or mail person you always get your stuff on time and usually in good condition.

So I got a FedEx delivery tomorrow I am hoping it really shows up on a Saturday. My friend who I lost touch with lives in Canada we caught up with each other yesterday on Facebook and She is sending Sims 4 from Amazon. We are old simming buddies. Last time FedEx was suppose to delivery on Saturday they lied and deliver it on Monday but put it was delivered on Saturday and it was in horrid condition. So I will be camping at my door tomorrow. lol

Schedules

I've carefully been watching the details for my last few orders.
I found the system from Amazon about delivery schedules seriously flawed.
When checking out my shopping basket, I often find absurd schedules.
For example, when filling the shopping basket on Friday 11pm, the checkout states "delivery on Saturday".
My simple explanation: They don't consider actual times, but simply calculate calendar days. If I order on Friday 11am, of course I can get it Saturday morning. But if I order on Friday 11pm, no way they can make it. But their system simply seems to assume: "Order on Friday = shipment on Saturday" (in Germany, PRIME means 1 day). Seems like an unbelievable oversight, but it really seems to be that simple.
Personally, I've stopped bothering about their schedules in the shopping basket. I make my own schedule and that's relatively (>90%) precise then.

I'm hoping it comes tomorrow like it said and she paid for overnight shipping. She doesn't have Prime. If it doesn't I'll have her call them to get her shipping fee reduced.

Ugh I just checked the tracking number and somehow the package is in Charlotte! It now says Tuesday delivery. FedEX really needs to get it together. I don't know how it the package got to Charlotte it's suppose to be down here in Raleigh.

I sent my friend and email letting her know to call Amazon to get her overnight shipping fee refunded. FedEx really needs to get it together. I can't even blame the Raleigh branch on this one it looks like it's a Regional thing. Never had a problem in TN though.

I've gotten items from Amazon within 1 day when I placed a 2nd order in the early am hours. They somehow managed to catch there were 2 orders and combined them so I got the 2nd order a day early. So for me, service is as good or better than typical under Prime free 2 day delivery.

UPS is great for me for deliveries and thankfully the majority of shipments come via UPS. I leave the front outer door unlocked and the driver knows to leave it inside the door and I check often for the delivery. Never a problem with UPS deliveries.

FedEx though... I sometimes wonder how they manage to get any deliveries right. When I ordered a new monitor a few months ago, Amazon shipped it through FedEx. I sat in my living room near the window where I can see if anyone comes up the steps for deliveries, I didn't want to risk leaving it outside even for 5 minutes (it's a decent neighborhood, but still it was a lot of money). Then my phone beeps with a message from FedEx saying it was delivered a few minutes ago. I know no truck was even on the street, and no one came to my door, I was sitting right there. But I went out and looked around for it in the backyard, at neighbors' houses and nothing. Called them up right away to report it while wondering how do I prove something like this if the driver insists he delivered it to me. After about 7 hours of no responses from FedEx I had really given up ever getting that monitor and was sure I was about to start a fight over the claim for it. Then about another ½ hour later I found it sitting out front next to the door (I was checking every 15 minutes). No phone call, no knock on the door, no notice of any kind, nothing. Just quickly dropped and left.

This week I had 2 packages coming from Amazon again with FedEx. I got the phone notices saying both packages were delivered, immediately went to get them but there's only 1 of the 2 packages there. Called FedEx immediately and reported it. About 6 hours later the 2nd package mysteriously just arrives at my door again. Sadly about 2/3 of the time that's a typical experience with FedEx deliveries for me.

I can't blame Amazon for the FedEx delivery screwups, but I do wish they'd stop using them.

Exactly! I don't think they would have used them if it was order from my account. I reported FedEX to Amazon in July and they always use UPS or USPS since then which is great. However this package was from her account. Why is it in Charlotte is the big question. It was in South Carolina that just makes no sense. I went to their Facebook page and someone else has the same problem in another state. Pay for overnight shipping from Amazon and it says they wont get it later this week.

Update: Now it says it out for Delivery in Durham. I'm in Raleigh so I have no idea what FedEx is doing. This is crazy!

I totally agree. UPS and even USPS are fine for deliveries, but I wish there was an option to refuse FedEx deliveries. I ordered an iPad from Amazon, and it ended up being sent FedEx, supposedly needing a signature. The day it was scheduled to arrive, I rushed home from work and was about 4 blocks from home when I got a notification saying it had been delivered. But when I got home, there was no iPad. I called FedEx right away and reported it and they said they would look into it.

I then started looking around the neighborhood. It wasn't at either of my neighbor's houses, but one neighbor said that she had seen the FedEx truck and pointed to where it had stopped. I went down to that house and there was my iPad just sitting on the front step

Well All is well that ends well. FedEX delivered it I think around 3pm but not sure as no one knocked! How hard is it to knock?!? UPS knocks, USPS knocks and I can't sign up for FedEX Delivery Manager here, just like UPS My Choice they tell me my address doesn't exist.

This one is really weird. I ordered an item from Amazon yesterday, in stock, sold by Amazon LLC with prime 2 day delivery. Looked this morning and it says delivery estimate - Thursday, Oct 2nd - Monday, Nov 10th. Holy Cow!?! I sure hope that is a mistake.

Try their chat option and have the rep check on the item. That happened to me once and the item was apparently out of stock, even though the webpage didn't say that when I ordered it. It seems you can get one of several suppliers of the same item and you can just draw the one who is out of stock. They cancelled the order for me, and then I was able to re-order it from another supplier. And for the trouble, they gave me free one day shipping on the item.

That's about right for me when I order on a weekend which is why last week I was shock to get my ordered in actually two days. It's almost time to order Kitty Litter again here hoping the on time delivery continues.
