So how come it was not a discountable book at Kobo?
Its been the case since Sainbury's opened for business. When Sainbury's started their ebook store they didn't start from scratch. They bought Anobii. They're also tied to a number of the BPH. I know Penguin is one, but can't remember the others. When they first opened for business this information was displayed on the home page, but has since disappeared.

Thanks for the code

I reckon that sainsburys gets the prize for having a worse search engine than kobo and well I didn't think that was possible.

If I search for CJ Box I get about 6 books by him and the rest are not if I then select author on the left it states that no results exist hmmm ok maybe I'll try C.J. Box same results so I instead go to the goodreads site look up CJ find the Joe Picket series select book 3 go back to inSainsburys and type Trophy Hunt in the search and there it is first result even though it didn't appear when searching for CJ Box
Unfortunatly that one is more expensive than some of the others in his series

Yes, their search really is spectacularly useless.

For those who are travelling, are you using a VPN (do Sainsburys check IP addresses?) and are you able to use a non-UK credit card okay? Thanks

I've found that the best way to get all the books for a specific author is to click on the author's name under the book title in the search results. If you do this for C J Box then it returns 22 books. The problem accessing books this way is there is no sort facility so it can be very difficult to find a particular title especially if the list is long.

I haven't required a VPN, and I've been able to use my Aus credit card successfully (and without question!)

However, I've found that the price of the book, nor the 'Buy' button always show. So a trick I picked up from a poster aboe is to drop the book into your 'My Wishlist' and then the price and buy now boxes appear.

In the too weird pile for searching on Sainsbury's: Jacqueline Winspear ..... a name search reveals no listings ..... but put in Maisie Dobbs (her chief character) and all Winspear's books are listed.
