I have no problems watching movies on a 5" or 7" screen. I watch movies on my KFHD2 all the time.

I assume a boatload of Iphone owners do it to. Doesn't mean it is optimal, especially not to me.

BTW, there is no comparison between the 8.9" versus the 7" HDX. The 8.9" totally blows it out of the water any which way and for $349 it is probably the best bang for buck device on the market for that form factor.

I'm with you on that. I watch movies all the time on my HDX. It is sort of my bed time ritual to watch an episode of Falling Skies or Dr. Who in bed. Given the wife hates both she watches her show in the TV and I watch mine on the HDX. The screen on the 7" is very good and I can get more episodes watched on it as well. Sometimes I will have it setup in the kitchen watching something while I cook or something like that.

I almost prefer the HDX to my laptop when watching movies and the laptop has a nice HD 15" screen. Much easier to lay down and watch the HDX and I'm not giving up much in video quality.
