but I seem to recall they are either encrypted, or obfusticated.
Awesome, thanks for the list!
I'll go have my wife upgrade hers now...

Swipe up or down on the screen. That doesn't do anything when reading except register activity to prevent the sleep.

I didn't hang on to the actual screen shot from a previous version on the Glo but do have a shot from a Mini on 2.6.2 and a Glo on 3.1.0. The font changed on the Glo POST 3.0.0 if I remember correctly.

The book in question is:
The Everything Stir-Fry Cookbook by Nam Nguyen. ISBN 9781440561580 from the Toronto Public Library.
Does the difference in the resolution of the pictures you posted match the difference in the resolution of the devices?

Of course it does; these are images captured on the device through use of the screenshot feature.

If you like I will downgrade the Glo so you can see a screen shot from the pre 3.1.0 levels, sigh.

Surely, ignoring the resolution differences you can see a different in font?

I am not interested in the font difference. The screen shots provide a good demonstration of the impact of difference in resolution. Not quite a test image, but a good practical example. Too bad there isn't an AuraHD example beside the others. The Glo image would work as the new Aura example, also.

Luck;

3.1.0 firmware links

The links to the Mark4 and Mark5 firmware has been posted in the Direct Links thread. Please note that this firmware version has not been tested on a Touch N905C or Mini. Nor does there seem to be a Mark3 (Touch N905, N905B) version available.

See this post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=689 for the links until murg adds them to the first post in the thread.

Regards,
David

Good morning. I installed the new firmware 3.1.0 on my KOBO KOBO Glo and my Mini. Always display the problem on Home KOBO mini, book covers protruding from the screen. Always the problem of the light which comes on again after a standby sleep with sleep cover when the brightness setting is set to 1%. This is very annoying when reading at night in the dark and it is not set to at least 2%. By bug against the club eve when you do not touch the screen to open a watch seems to be finally fixed. Sorry for my english ...

Thank you, David! I've been refreshing this thread for days hoping to see those links come through. My font size and margin numbers bugs are now gone, and I can read ebooks again the way they were intended.

And thanks to the Kobo devs too, for quick action on those bugs.

another pointless update (3.1.0 for Glo) that does not fix the errors in pdf book. Navigation to previous and next page in pdf books in landscape mode still not working. Dictionary still missing in pdf book menu. oeh... seems like they never fix those errors..
