As mentioned in the other thread, I think those are good additions, though none of the devices feel like something I need.
The Glo works fine for me and the Aura doesn't offer enough improvements to justify buying it (no physical page turn buttons), though the capacitive touchsrceen would be nice to have. I just bought a Nexus 7.2, so the announcement comes too late, but it's good to see that Kobo's device will also have a 1920x1200 resolution and that they state that they'll keep updating the OS. And 10" tablets, well, I still have my iPad and I consider to get an ultrabook to replace my 17" laptop in half a year or a year, so I don't think a 10" tablet is something that fits in my devices-family-planning. Still, I feel that those are solid additions to Kobo's product line. |

I haven't found any limitations with my current Kobo Arc, so I don't feel the need to upgrade to the new HD model. I'm really hoping they upgrade our firmware to match what's on the newer models, though. The one disappointment I have is that there is no lighted Mini. The girls have Minis and I would have bought them a lighted model. (I don't think I could ever go back to a non-lighted ereader. The entire reading experience is just so much better.) |

There's a lot of people like me who prefer the smaller format because I take my reader with me everywhere. And I do mean just about every time I set foot out my door. The Aura HD is just too big for me. Nor do I ever want to bother with syncing between readers to use one at home and one while out, that's just a hassle I don't need.
So for me, while the 6" size is perfect, the Aura is really a step backwards for me since it seems to have a capacitive screen per one post above, and it probably won't have older firmware that works to get rid of the hideous homescreen the newer firmware now uses (hideous to me). So it's nothing for me to have the slightest interest in. |

Perhaps most curious if the Pocket collaboration will be built back into the FW for the Glo/AuraHD. Could be enough to make me switch from Readability if done well.
EDIT: Actually, quite curious if many of those "Beyond the Book" enhancements will come down the line as well. |

ectoplasm and me are in the same page. Bigger screen is always better. I'm 99% keen on buying the Aura HD. Maybe in the next year or two, bigger screens will apply.
mycurlylocks is right. Couple of bucks different, better to go for Aura HD. For Ripplinger, yes, 6" is good for ppl who travel light and portability. I do understand. For me, most reading will be at home. So, small screen is definitely NO to me. |

I prefer 6" readers even for in-house use. Anything bigger feels bulky to me if all I use it for is reading. But yes, people have different preferences and someone should probably make a bigger reader to cover that niche. |

If I didn't already have the Glo, I'd probably be tempted by the 6" Aura, but I'm not sure I'd like the wavy back that's on the AuraHD. It has to be thicker than a flat back, especially once it's put into a cover (I'm one that never has a reader out of its cover, I like to keep it as pristine as possible). |

Oh...my hopes for a lighted mini, dashed. Maybe Amazon will surprise the world with a 5" Paperwhite. If not, no upgrades for me from any of the companies.

OMG you got me LOL!!!! Hey I don't even have shipping notification on that Nook Glow yet! I want it now! I am very eager to check that light out. I know the light won't be as good as the Kobo Glo but the Nook has other good things that a light will just make better!
