Wednesday. I bought one ebook, one new (albeit very cheap) paperback - Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - which just happened to catch my eye in a non book store, and one used hardback - Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie - from a charity shop.

I don't particularly go looking for paper books like I used to, but I'm still happy to pick up a bargain when I see one, and I am trying to get hold of Agatha Christie books used because I don't want to pay the ebook asking price.

I've read quite few pbooks this year, and I'm still quite happy with them.

I purchased 1 last week and 3 the week before in hardcover. I have about a dozen on preorder (again, in hardcover; I do not buy paperbacks) and I have a list of more than 30 books I plan to buy in hardcover.

OTOH, last week I also bought 5 ebooks.

The way my buying works is this: I buy nonfiction in hardcover and sometimes I'll buy the same book also in ebook form, but that is rare. Usually it is just hardcover for nonfiction. Fiction is almost always in ebook form. There are a few favorite authors, such as Harry Turtledove, David Weber, LE Modesitt, Jr., Terry Brooks, and others, whose fiction I buy in hardcover. Occasionally, I will also buy the ebook version, but that is rare.

I view nonfiction as books I want to keep in my library and fiction as read once then give away/delete except for the few fiction authors whose books I do want to keep in my library.

I buy reference books and "coffee-table" art books in paper, still.

The most recent paper book I bought was James P. Allen's "Middle Egyptian Grammar".

Most recent book I bought was "A child called It" by Dave Pelzer, it was a very good read but quite sad. Trying to find the next book in the trilogy though..

I bought two hardcover novels yesterday, couldn't resist a bargain bin. I have already bought a couple of paper books this year, though I tend to prefer ebooks for fiction now. I try to have a look at the font size though, before I buy paper books.
