Either way, the book you are reading has been through the Calibre conversion process, which fixes a lot of the problems in the original epub.

Edit: I mean: whether using the mobi version, or converting via calibre (which fixes a lot of problems), either way avoids using the original Phoenix Pick epub. I find converting mobi to epub gives better results with Phoenix pick books than converting epub to epub, but either is better than using the original epub.
