Are there any news about this statement, because my iLiad is now in the service center and I have also ordered the V2 case. I hope they have now the missing parts.

And damn, It's so hard without the iLiad ...

There is still no official statement or at least a e-mail to all who ordered a back cover.

I haven't heard anything back either.

I'm sure when they have a solution or news, we'll hear it though.

I did send an eMail at tuesday to the service center, about the status of my battery replacement. Until now, I did get no response . At least I would expect a automated response email.

I think I go to the meditation thread ...

Just received my upgraded iLiad (case and battery replaced). All is fine - just one thing, you should be aware of:

The upgraded iLiad is quite a bit heavier now - I put it on my kitchen-scale and it shows: 444 grams (that is 55 grams more than the normal spec for the iLiad) - also it seems the center of gravity has moved a bit, but this could be because of the new case...

Any other people experienced the same? It makes sense, that an higher rated battery brings in more weight - but I did not thought about that in the first place when I ordered the upgrade, so it was some kind of a surprise to me...

Version 2 is supposed to have more protection for the iLiad's insides, so perhaps that's part of the replacement back, which might explain the extra weight.

I thought of that too, but looking at the iRex specs, I guess the indicated weight is already for the iLiad v2, and they claim it is 389 grams.

55 g - so you may leave a half chocolate bar behind to get the same weight of your backback again.
I never kept weighing my iLiad in mind. But it should be no problem to get the real weights of v1 or v2.

There should be included a printed UPS return waybill.
Sometimes instructions are hidden in the box [area for the travel hub and power adapter].

Ok -- found it. It was stuck behind the adapter/hub area...
