It's not possible to be a "cotten-headed ninnymuggins" as such a thing does not exist.

Look it up. Google will show you the way.

"Otten" is an obvious misspelling of "Aten", the visible disk of the sun worshipped in the short-lived monotheism of ancient Egypt under Pharoah Akhenaten. Thus, to be "otten-headed" was to wear a mask representing the Aten, a disk of beaten gold representing the disk of the sun. The "ninnymungus" is more obscure, but is obvious upon further examination. "Mungus" is short for "among us". The word "ninny" means a fool or simpleton. However, "ninny" may have come from the word "innocent", according to Merriam-Webster. Thus, an "otten-headed ninnymungus" refers to a priest of of Aten, disrespectfully calling said priest a simpleton, or expressing the idea that the priest of Aten is an innocent, free of sin, and is thus worthy to wear the Earthly representation of Aten among us, depending on whether one was a follower of the older religion or a follower of Akhenaten's religion.

There is an alternative viewpoint, that is, that I made the above up. All the cool kids think I'm right, so if you want to be cool, you'll agree with me.

Au contrare.......my old friend.

UH-HUH! It does so!!!

Anyway..........it sounds ever so much better than many of the alternative choices, don't you think?

And contrary to popular opinion, Google is NOT the the end all to questions.....we just have gotten lazy enough to believe it is.........

Sorry for not responding, my family has been sick.

I believe I wasn't clear enough in what it was I was trying to say. My bad. I am not looking for the conversations over what is considered "Great Literature" by scholars. But what is is to the individuals here?

I also know that this is a forum for ereaders and ebooks, that was why I originally was drawn to here.

I am familiar with the belief that there are no "new" ideas anymore, though I personally disagree with that statement. There are always new ideas and thoughts on things.

I am really only dispirited by the same threads, with the same topics. It isn't that I don't understand the normalcy of the regurgitation of certain topics, It's just that it doesn't seem to be moving anywhere. Some of the topics like copyright get muddled because the OP or the posters are from different countries with different laws... and then confusion ensues, over and over. (Not that I really think a forum is the best place to get legal device)

And yes this is the internet, you are SUPPOSED to entertain me, at least while I am supposed to be working.... (sarcasm)

This forum actually did give me something I wanted. Some drama, some people that took it too personally, and some that made me laugh.

I was looking for a book recommendation, not a discussion about the topic.

I understand that, but it seems to me like the people interested in discussing politics might also read about politics, so it would be the best group to give a recommendation.
