I chose the T1 over the Kobo for a variety of reasons, but the buttons were an important feature for me . Firstly , I just like to have the option of full functioning with the buttons if I don't want to use touch. Secondly , being left-handed, the button placement is perfect for me in portrait or landscape mode.
