@fred_yu_job: They're all over the place in the Toronto area. Best Buy, Future Shop, The Source, Indigo, Chapters, to name a few. Phone ahead to store locations to check availability, especially for the colour you want.

http://www.kobobooks.com/ereader_wheretobuy If you follow the chapters/indigo link and hit "buy now" it will take you to the online buying site where you can then click on "find it in store" (right next to the add to cart button to the left) which will open a pop-up to let you enter a postal code where it will bring up stores/locations and how many Kobo's they have in stock. The future shop will also do something similar from the online website. |

Update
I've had my new KT for a couple of weeks now and here's my take:
* - LOVE the fact that the new KT has an auto power off setting. I truly wanted one on the Kobo Wifi. * - The page turns are great, no problem there. * - I am NOT A FAN of the home screen at all. It's just not helpful in any real way. I would love to see the home screen become more useful. * - I'm loving the new dictionary. It's much much more useful. It would be nice to see the addition of the access to Wikipedia that the Kobo App has, too. As a genre reader I get a lot of cultural references that do not show up in dictionaries. * - As mentioned before, I need SHELVES! * - Also mentioned before: Reading Stats are SO necessary, I will be glad when they are added. (Percent read, book open, book closed, etc.) I've only one problem but it's been a doozy: Major BUGS. Yesterday when I went to cut on my Kobo I got an error message. It said that my KT had an internal storage error and it needed to do a factory reset. ![]() ![]() |

Glad you are enjoying it. You have however encountered the one frustrating thing; the storage error. Kobo IS working on it and we all hope for it being fixed REAL SOON NOW!

Unfortunately the KTs were sealed in boxes. The only demo units they had out were Sonys.

In addition, you can't get back to the book you are reading from "Reading Life." You have to go to the home page to go to your book. Also, when browsing the library there is no status indication on any of the books. Is it open? Is it closed? How much has been read? Upgrade, please. |

I just ordered a Kobo Touch from Swindon Books in Hong Kong. Delivery to Australia added about AUD$15 to the price.
I had to email them to discuss Australian delivery, but they replied quickly and so I went ahead and placed the order on the website. I'll post any updates to this thread. It was very frustrating trying to buy one from Australia, so I hope this can help someone else. --D |

Was in a local Borders yesterday. They had shelves of Kobo WiFi for $69 and not quite as many shelves of Touch for $99.
