Stop being so apologetic! You are a fan - enjoy! I am much calmer on boards then I am in real life when it comes to the Williams sisters - mainly because I got tired of being slapped down, and because of all of the negative comments people feel they must post once the Williams name has been mentioned. That does not mean, however, that I'm going to stop talking about or celebrating them all together. You shouldn't feel the need to apologize for liking Fed or any other player, for that matter. Happy Wimbledon! May the best man (Murray), and best woman (Venus or Serena) win!! |

No worries mate....as you well know by now Edit: I am sad that Daniela Hantuchova lost. I like her a lot actually but she is sooo mentally frail on-court she becomes her worst enemy. Sadly, a real headcase. |

Just now watching Serena's match and learned about her befriending a little 5 year old cancer patient named Jack. Serena didn't tell anyone, but was asked about it during a press conference. This was the only article I could find. Jack and Serena met on Twitter. She decided that if she made it to Wimbledon she would bring him and his family to see a match. They spent parts of Wednesday and Thursday together and Jack now calls Serena his "best bud". How very sweet!! |

^ Indeed. Serena does do some great off court stuff. Kudos! Fed update: Well, I am so pleased. Fed obliterated Nalbandian, a guy who once gave Fed a bit of trouble. The field is definitely sitting up and taking notice now. Nadal: Hmm, a tough couple tiebreak sets against Gilles Mueller. Some chinks in the Nadal armor perhaps? But that 6-0 3rd set by Nadal was strong indeed. Joker continuing to look good. Looks like Fed/Joker matchup soon. my gal Maria continues to move on! Serena had a good win indeed over another of my faves, Kirilenko... |

The crowd was definitely behind Kirilenko. The scoreboard does not show just how much trouble she gave Serena. It was a good match over all, especially for the first set/set and a half. Marion Bartoli is up next and she had to fight for her win today. I'll admit I'm a bit nervous. - but then again I always get more nervous the closer it gets to the end. |

Just watching Marcos Baghdatis vs Novak Djokovic. Been quite an entertaining match, and Baghdatis has done much better than I expected. I imagine Djokovic will come out on top, eventually.

Baghdatis is a helluva fun player to watch! Seen him pretty close up a couple time at US Open. Hugely talented If he could ever string points together he could be VERY dangerous. Joker of course should prevail. But that's why they play football every Sunday Ya never know! |

^ absolutely. I know this for a fact. However, not so much within the top 50 or so. But for sure within the top 50-100 and lower, many of the ladies are pretty good friends. A pro tennis player's life, for the vast majority of them, is a tough one. Expensive as well. Hotels, airfare, lonely life on the road, massive pressure to perform... |

Both of my girls are out! I hope to see both of them in top form (if possible) at the USO! Andy, however, had a brilliant match against Gasguet! His winning Wimbledon would be absolutely sublime. |

Yes, Nyssa, I thought of you today when I saw the results...Indeed, USOpen is around the corner [sorta...!] Serena losing to Bartoli was not nearly as surprising to me as Wozkiacki going out to Cibulvika [sp]...Domenica plays very well of course, but has had issues with her head, especially against the top top women. Not today. The Woz looked so strong in first set and it came down to only a few points as they usually do, but man, awesome win for Domenica... Joker was clinical against LLodra, who is no pushover....And indeed, Murray also dismantled Gasquet, always a threat and a huge talent. But of course, my gal Maria looking for sure like the one to beat [as I knew she would be...] And my man Fed playing right now, against a tough Mihail Youzny but Fed is playing well against an always tough Mikhail...
