The site you recommend is a little more expensive. In fact one can find persons that also needs kindle 3 batteries and can get 3 together. to find such persons on the internet is not a difficult thing, isn't it ?

No screws on the back cover. Maybe under the back cover but not on the back cover.

That picture looks nothing like the current Kindle 3. There is no indication of the holes for the speakers and it looks as though the back case is in two parts and the top was removed. Maybe it is an older Kindle?

Well old is kind of relative, but it's the original battery pushing two-and-a-half years old, now.

GlobalDirectParts is a wholesaler, but for some products the MOQ is 1.

I got my Kindle 2 in January 2010, and the battery is still going strong. It usually lasts me 2-3 weeks with wireless off.

I have a question, gathered from what I've read here,--it doesn't make a difference if I obsessively keep my kindle charged or not, or use it while it's plugged in a lot, the lifetime of the battery will more or less be the same, regardless of useage habits?

I'm no expert on battery life. I usually do not charge my Kindle until I get the warning message. However, once I get it, I plug it in until it is fully charged.
