I'm pretty sure that you can still buy "non-phone" Windows Mobile PDAs, if you want a pocket device with WiFi only. Although I'm not sure why you wouldn't just buy a cheap smartphone and not use the phone - that might well be easier.

What few PDA's that still exist are quite antiquated and haven't kept up with the times.

Cheap smartphones require data plans. I don't want a data plan; it's a total waste of money.

Generally the cheaper smartphones tend to have a smaller screen as well.

Archos is another one that does still make media players, do they not do an android one with a smaller screen than their tablets?

Nokia's are spendy and not too popular in the US. Archos devices don't usually fare well in the reviews and unless jail broken, don't have access to the Android Market.
