I have a gold signet ring with my initials engraved on it. They aren't visible anymore though. It was a present on my 13th birthday. It's been on my finger ever since. I couldn't remove it now even if I wanted to. It's of great sentimental value to me.

The Teddy Bear my Grandma gave to me for Christmas when I was 4. He is conviently named Christmas and sits on my chest of drawers in my bedroom as we speak. I have no idea where his original eyes, stuffing, or fur have gone. They were lost long ago to many cuddles from myself and abuses perpetuated on the poor bear by my brothers.

My Hubby would prefer that Christmas leave the room but that aint happening. Nope. Never. The little guy has mittens, booties, and a scarf knitted by the same Grandma who gave him to me to hide all of the bandages I put on him to cover the bare spots on his paws. The scarf is tight enough to hold his head up. His eyes are mismatched, one is original one is goggly. There is one spot behind an ear that has some original fur left, I nuzzle it when really, really sad. He is my go to hug to death when I am not happy guy, after the hubby now. Fortunently, I don't require his services all that often.
Several people have mentioned Teddy Bears in the thread. This explains why Pooh is such a hit. There is something about Teddy Bears that screams innocence and childhood. |

I have a stuffed dog I received as an infant. There's a photo of me with it from Christmas 1964, age four months. It's in absolutely pathetic shape now, but I loved that thing as a kid.
We moved two years ago. The morning after I saw "Toy Story 3," I woke up in a panic that I hadn't seen it since the move. After about four hours of searching, I found it in the second-to-last possible place. Those Pixar guys really know how to get me. |

My mother kept things as long as we had room to store them, and we always had room to store them. So, I have lot's from just days after I was born, or she does, really.
I do have the first comic I bought with my own money when I was three (1970). I also have a Swiss Army watch that I've worn, nearly every day, for the past twenty years. |
