I'll be honest, I've never liked the non-backlit mono LCD displays used in the JetBook and Libre. Something about those displays just doesn't work for me, though I know other people on this forum swear by them and wouldn't use anything else if you paid them.

Having said that - I really do think they're different enough that they deserve being mentioned as a third alternative because they do lack the drawbacks of both the others - and substitute completely different ones.

I like both the Sony and the iTouch and both of them are loaded to go on our cruise. This will be the first time I am not taking a hard copy book. Over all, I like e-ink better. The problem with both of them is waiting for the plane to take off so you can use them again.

Yes! I have a few small p-back books that I've been saving up to read for my next plane take off (which will be soon), so that I'm not stuck without anything to read during take-off and landing.

This is how I tend to use my readers, I prefer e-ink, but have never liked booklights.

For graphic novels I prefer oversized hardcovers with high production values.
For me it is about the content so I prefer to read comics and graphic novels on my ipad or in paperback as they are more comfortable to hold while reading.

E-ink, but I'd sure wish I waited and bought a kindle 3. The resolution (black/white) looks like a huge improvement.

I choose option D: Whichever version (ebook or pbook) I can obtain from the public library first

My e-readers are certainly more convenient for travel, but I really don't mind reading "low-tech" books either. I always have one or the other on me
