Thanks. I see I have my weekend viewing all planned out--after the Packer game, that is.

When all is said and done, I still might be too chicken to do it, but at least I know what I'm backing away from.

Starting to like this IQ more and more, though. Very handy in the kitchen, actually. Nice not to have to run back and forth to the computer for a recipe, and I can read in-between. Or watch an old movie.

Oh, and that Palm stylus? Great advice, guys. Makes a world of difference.

My suggestion would be install the Dec 10 update (if it isn't already installed) and "play" with it a few days testing software to see what you like. Once you settle on a set of apps then you can build up your "production" installation, with or without root as you see fit.

By the time you finish testing the update may be out (if they do meet the January release timeframe). Just don't assume they will. Software coding is not a predictable activity.
Thank you very much! Sounds like a plan i will just play around with it at first and wait a bit lol if i get to impatient i will just root it.

I've been using Derwent rubber shapers as a replacement for a stylus and I'm quite satisfied. I'm even getting used to the fan on top of the pointed shaper. I will have to get another set to use for my drawing though.

I saw your post somewhere about those things then couldn't find the post to check out where I might acquire one or that type of tool so I just ordered a 3 pack of styli from Amazon for $3. If they turn out to be cheap crap or too wide to write I'll know what to get next.

They're mainly drawing tools and I got them on Amazon UK for about 10 pounds, so they're more expensive than the styli you ordered. However, since I live where I live, a lot of things I'd like to order online are inaccessible to me, or shipping costs too much. (I once wanted to buy a pack of 24 Prismacolor pencils for $18. Great! I thought, only it turned out I'd have to pay about $90 for shipping. Yeah, not so great.)
