I'd immediately head for Scotland. I'd start in the north and drink my way south, tasting every single malt available.
I might also find time to take in the beautiful landscape and get to know the locals... ![]() |

That's our normal course of action when we visit any new place, even new cities in the US. For the 'first day' we book a 'full day tour' at the hotel's tour desk, to get an overview of the area, then spend the rest of the time traveling around on our own. When we visit new countries, we find this method a very good way to learn the local customs, money transactions, social behavior, foods, etc., as well as what to see or do in the locale, and might book a full day tour or hire a car and driver every other day or so. In city areas, letting someone else deal with parking problems alone can make or break a vacation! ""If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home." Stitchawl |

Egypt for me. I am amazed by the culture and the history. I would love the see the pyramids before I leave this place we call Earth. (Wow, that was kinda depressing wording it like that) I think I am writing too much science fiction this place we call Earth sounds like a sound bite from an martian flick lol
anyway, Egypt for me! |

Changed my mind. Go to Paris and check the bars near all the Metro Stations that look promising among those that I have not checked yet (main activity during the trip), read there while sipping something, or having lunch, see two movies every day or more, eat plenty of oysters and foie gras, and get my self some fancy chinese outfits for my new look (non ethnic, not business man, rather like artisan clothings or teachers'), maybe see if Florence wants to meet for a glass of something.
