I also missed the link change is already in source. (I blame the food poisoning I got earlier this week ) i just tested it with a few series and it works as I expect -- clicking on the the the item opens the Calibre search, and on the icon opens the external link.

Thought: Currently, Single-book MDE has the 'Manage authors' button. Would it make sense to also have 'Manage' buttons (alternately, put it in right-click menu) for other normalized fields to make it easier to add the links without closing the dialog first? For tag-likes, jump to the first item.

it would be quite useful to have a Copy All links option in the BD context menu, viz: BR |

@chaley - I'm referring to direct links between books - e.g. Between Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' and Huxley's ‘Brave New World'.
i.e. the Book Details context menu, not the column context menus BR Last edited by BetterRed; 04-01-2023 at 06:10 AM. |

If this is referring to the Copy All Links idea, where do the links come from? What is the destination of the copy? What do you do with the copied links? |

I already use different colours for different link types. Copy all links: I would paste the copied links into a sticky note, from which I can easily cherry-pick copy and paste, something like this: BR Last edited by BetterRed; 04-01-2023 at 08:04 AM. |

You would use this feature to avoid multiple copy operations to get the links. (?) You would be expected to know what the links do. There is no explanatory text? Just: Quote:

For example, this menu operation:
produces this (I added the explanatory text): Code:
Link to show book in calibre: calibre://show-book/_hex_-4c6962726172792e746573745f736d616c6c/1343 Link to show book details in a popup window: calibre://book-details/_hex_-4c6962726172792e746573745f736d616c6c/1343 Link to view EPUB format of book: calibre://view-book/_hex_-4c6962726172792e746573745f736d616c6c/1343/EPUB Link to view MOBI format of book: calibre://view-book/_hex_-4c6962726172792e746573745f736d616c6c/1343/MOBI Link to view PRC format of book: calibre://view-book/_hex_-4c6962726172792e746573745f736d616c6c/1343/PRC |
